My disks are off and measure 4.7mm thick (both of them) which is ok as the disk is stamped min thickness 4.5mm but has anybody gone past the minimum thickness? They look in excellent condition and have little to no wear on them?

Also is it worth changing the TPS battery's out while the tyres are of, the front is the original, one and can be changed rear is a replacement warranty one of the new type and people reckon they can't be changed? Ideas?

One other thought, would be ok to powder coat the ABS rings or even paint them?

Alan, replace the batteries whilst you can, why wouldn't you ?

Personally I would coat the ABS disc, or galvanise it rather than paint

agree i would change the battery whilst you have it apart. My concern with powder coating the ring is that it maybe to thick for the sensor to read.I think an aerosol paint would be ok.If you go ahead with powder coat make sure the sensor has clearance when wheels back in.. :2guns:

That's a good point, maybe I will run it through the garage fine sand blaster to clean it up and simply prime and paint it, powder coat just might be to thick.

My OEM disks were 4.1 an 4.0mm when I replaced them.
