Puzzled as to why such a flagship bike for kwaki would not come standard with a helmet lock. Seems to me it should be standard on all bikes as ur lid is always gonna be there. Does anyone know of a good after market one that fits the bike 👍😃

Because it came with panniers and optional topbox. My helmet is usually left in a pannier, but when I'm touring and they have bags in I have a pair of Projekt D locks. HM's helmet goes on the second one because the FJR doesn't have locks either.

Ah thanks daisy yea thatll do nicely. Most of the time i dont ride with cases on and top box has chain n disc lock plus waterproof n tyre repair kit. No room for lid too its not big enough. Thanks 👍

I have 2 project Ds fitted under the back plate I put them on when I fitted the metal plate.
I also use one of the helmetloc ones and a steel plastic coated cable to save marking the helmet and the Tpiece is for helmets with the quick release and not the D shackle ( Schubert Type etc ) .
As you say if no panniers on or they are full

Yea another good one pross thanks. I like the ebay item as my lid has the ratchet strap on it n the t piece would suit well.no need for bolting parts to the bike.    Thanks pross. 👍👍😀

I leave this wrapped around the rear grab rail it fits round perfect and no keys to worry about I thread the cable through the 2 helmets if need be you can buy extra t pieces for the helmet .

I don't normally like leaving helmets exposed on a bike, but a cheap bicycle cable lock through the chin bar is my choice if I have to.

It's a Shoei GT Air from Japan. The Australian delivered one has D rings, but I smashed into the ground two months after buying it and couldn't bring myself to fork over another 900 dollars. Same thing from Japan was about 600. After having the ratchet strap I couldn't go back to rings.

Yea ratchet so much easier on and off. Im surprised no one has made belts in the same way. By the way how were you n bike after accident? Not too much damage i hope. 👍
