Well i was bored tday n spotted online the panels that cover the secondry flies. They sit under fuel tank. Well my bike suddenly screamed out to me to take the flies out so i said dont worry my pet im on my wal lol.it didnt take long to get em out n bolt her back up. The difference is amazing. I had that low end flat spot but now so much better n maybe its my imagination but it seems throatier too. Happy chappy now  :biker3:

Hya - ive thought of this myself but there seems to be contradictory info out there...

so did you just remove them, that's it?  ive heard some say don't because XXXX and others say do it and nothing will happen...  or this mod is no use without Flashing the ecu which is the £300 expensive bit..

There are many posts on this subject but seem to be 2 schools of thought.

what we need is a techie to tell it in lay terms and explain the why's / why nots and include photos of exactly how to do it..

i mean ive heard that the screws can be an utter pain and if you drop one...  ooooh man not good

So whats the 100% truth on this!???  i'd love to know

Well your right about the screws so magnetic drivers are a must and the flies themselves are ali so magnet no good but i used a blob of exhaust paste on the end of a driver handle which acted like a glue n the flies lifted out. I dont know about reflashing but knowing my own bike i feel it has more lower end pull. I put her in third dropped down to 1500 revs then hit the gas n it just pulled like a train. I personaly believe it made a noticeable difference. Anyway im happy with it 👍👍😀

Cool. I'm not sure where to look, uncover, undo etc. Hoping someone can can do a guide with pis but also explain the pros n cons. I'd love a bit more oomph but mainly I'd like the throttle snatch gone.

Is there a techie-bod about to explain all??

I've a 2010 bike so not sure if there is a pre 10 and post 10 difference?

Have you tried the throttle one on here where you turn the ignition on but don't start the bike and roll the throttle fully on then turn the ignition off then start as normal and the throttle is smoother.
Can't recall how many times you roll the throttle I think big Alan posted something on here do a search

Lol it was actually me who posted it. Ye i do that on occasion and for me it seems to make a difference. I think you are just reprogramming the throttle position sensor.

You did, but it has been posted plenty of times before  For example:

I think it works a treat. Seems to give easier control low speeds.

Boomer

Only way I've found to get rid of the throttle snatchiness is with SiSFs flash of the ECU.
Smooooth, and faster too.

Any info on cost if the Flash you mention above?  And where it's done?

It's not the flashing that's £££££££ it's the flight to the USA that's expensive  :mfr_lol:

I believe the secondary butterflies may be involved in the traction control system.........but could be wrong

BigAlan

Indeed Hilltop remapped my ECU and I can honestly say it has been a revelation on the bike, as for the secondary flies mine are intact, not being convinced they need to be removed I have left them, if the bike works for you leave it alone, mine does so they stay.

Ducati owner now but I used to have a Black one, the fastest version.
