I've used OMG95, but only once..  Then I went to LOL60.  Course there's always WTF40 for the more sedate.

Well I'll be spanked with a rolled up copy of the sporting life I didn't know that. And yet it seems to go against all that makes sense eh guys.  Diesel engine oil in a bike go figure. Well I'll give that a miss I think. I'm still going for Mobil I think. Didn't get a chance to readjust my balancer shafts today so watch this space till tomorrow. 😉😉
Using diesel oil seemed very common in the U.S. when I rode dirt bikes. Namely Shell Rotella. People have been using it for years.  And the 4 strokes are basically a 1 cylinder F1 engine. Very demanding on oil with high compression and short piston skirts etc with most of the engines life spent at over 8000RPM. Total capacity is actually fairly small too.  I've never used it. Well, not yet...

Where ever you look on the internet for information about engine oils, no matter what the engine no matter what the bike or car, there's always a different take on the subject with those who use something different to what the correct spec actually is.
Oils are complex fluids and each is produced for a particular reason and application.
Surely the correct way forward is to use an oil of the correct spec with a good quality filter changed at the correct length of use, or less.
One cannot then go wrong surely!

Kawasaki recommends 10W40 semi-synth without friction modifiers.
If you want to exceed that spec, it's your money.
Just beware the friction modifiers as they can  :censored: your clutch.

Mine uses Halfords green bottle 10W40 semi-synth.
Normally £22 for 5litres. Got a BOGOF last time so £11 per 5litres.
I change the oil every 5000 miles and oil/filter every 10000, as easier to remember than every 7500.
