Hi guys n gal. Update on my balancer shafts readjustment. Im surprised to find that this time i did it with bike hot after a ride n hey presto my engine rattle has gone. Can only think that gears were chattering too close to each other but whatever it was im very happy. So the main lesson is always adjust them with a warm bike. 👍👍😀 hope this helps out.

Did you keep a record of what you did plus pictures?

How many miles has your bike done to warrant the adjustment.

Aaah no didnt take pics damn i should of done. Its an 08 and you just need the top plastic off and black panel belly pan can be released enough to bend it out of the way. Youll then see the right side of the engine. (as you would ride it) then youll see at front and rear of engine two little 8mm bolts attached to a kind of figure of eight shaped small part. Just releast the 8mm pinch bolt till you can turn the flat blade in the centre freely. Now with engine hot and running turn front one till slight sqeal can be heard. At that point back off a little till sqeal goes then a fraction more and lock it up with the pinch bolt. Do the same with the rear and then bolt her back up n test ride 👍  Shes done 56000  al.

It does but it can't hurt to check, I don't have any rattles or anything but while the side is off I will take a look.
