I looking at a tank cover for this 11 plate that we're testing on Sat, if all goes well we'll be riding it home on Sat.  We need a tank cover because we're off to the south of France later this year....and we...(read Mrs Ice) needs all the luggage we can arrange...

I've noticed that Bagalux seem to size their tank covers by the year??  is there that much difference when it comes to the GTR ???

I've found one at Nativeviking on the bay.....I'm holding off until Fri/Sat to order,  just in case it all goes tits-up.. :mfr_lol:

I looked at the Baglux tank cover but didn't like it so I settled for a Givi bag that clips to a ring on the fuel filler cover. Very happy with that. Other firms make similar things too, not just Givi. Best of luck Saturday-pictures will be required by our colleagues I suspect... :punk:

The cover for the 08/09 will be different from the 2010 onwards as the early one has the tank mounted glove box.
I have one on my 08 model but my belly is too big to use a tank bag on it.  :mfr_lol:

I don't mind the look of the covers just as long as they do the job.  Will have a shufty at the Givi bags.....never know that may be better/cheaper??? got to save my pocket money again now if I spend it all on Sat??

I've always used Bagalux for years on my bikes....but I must admit after reading up on the Givi tank lock bags I'm sold.

The cost of a new Givi bag is cheaper than a new Bagalux harness to fit my old Bagalux tank bag, so I think that's the way to go.
I need to pull my finger out and sort out the bits I have knocking around for the Pan and stick them on the Bay. I've got 2 screens, 2 rads, 1 new tank cover (1300) and an older 1100 one...can't think of anything else at the mo.   de-clutter that the word for today....roll on Sat.

Always Baglux for me, as it also protects the tank's paintwork

I like my previous ones too but....I always felt the cover held the water between the tank and the cover when it hoofed it down without a bag on.. on the ZZR this was bad as the paint wasn't great towards the back of the tank.

But, I feel safer knowing that the weight is distributed across the tank as opposed to my minds eye view of a ickle connection on the tank holding it on.

I've got time for mine, I might just compare them if I get a chance.

If it gets wet, I take it off to dry
