Yes i do - after every securing bolt ( 4 ) on the Givi Base Plate i will require a cup of tea and cake, this could be a long job as i like tea and cake   --  a lot !!

I like the green striping on the Black GTR so i thought i would get the Air brush out and do some myself ( its actually pinstripe i painted Candy Lime Green ). I have not decided if i want the full fairing / pannier stripe yet.

So did you airbrush this as I also have a small airbrush system I could use, was masking the areas a pain in the rear?

Then again I could always get you to do it 😀

Hi Big Alan, i just air brushed the actual pinstripe i attached it to a piece wood ( stud wall type 3x2 x 8 ) i will try and explain below

6MM SILVER PIN STRIPE ( 2mm for the mudguard ) -- buy from any good car accessory store
plastic primer  - aerosol can type , key coat the stripe and apply one coat
colour - in this case Candy Lime Green which is a kwak colour at least five coats to get the depth of colour and effect -  not cheap to buy.
lacquer - i used aerosol type.

Once the different coats are applied and dried i just cut slightly oversize length, peeled the backing off and stuck down in place. Once satisfied all was in the correct position i just carefully trimmed the ends to shape in situ.

The hangers i just sanded and polished ( till my fingers dropped off!!) then masked the non painted areas, etch primed the lines then painted again 5 coats for the effect. Once the painting was done just took the masking off and lacquered the whole hanger, not too sure if the lacquer will peel in time but at least protected for now, although they did look better before the lacquering but as with bare alloy it would have oxidised and look crap within a week or so.

Put a Scorpion exhaust on today ( from rik man) sounds so sweet a nice rumble, also applied Green stripes to the fairing and panniers.
