In retrospect, I only followed the women's events:  Gymnastics, swimming and football.  After the US lost football, lost interest in that.  Can't say I care for the rest of the sports there.

Actually yes, I did watch a few matches but it had to be done in secrecy or I'd get a severe bruising about the head and wind up more  than I usually am.

We have been watching the paralympics and we are even more inspired by the achievements of the athletes who are not able bodied.

I accept its not for everyone Pete.  It is, however, amazing that people with such colossal disabilities can achieve so much...

I find it inspiring, especially  when I'm feeling sorry for myself, its like getting a well deserved kick up the

You are right of course that people with disabilities can do this. I take my hat off to them but the whole Olympic thing leaves me cold. No need to feel sorry for yourself you are a dude Meister.
