GTR Owners Meet 2016 June 3rd & 4th at the Belfry

I was contacted today by Charlie who has very kindly taken on the responsibility of organising the meet in 2016. Officially the GTR meet but we have all come to love & respect the German offerings of which there may be a few appearances due to recent trade-ins & upgrades! 


As the 2014 meet at The Belfry was such a success it made sense to revisit this venue which for those who are not aware has recently undergone major development and now offer significantly more rooms than previously. Everything is available on site, food, beer, Babychams for the ladies and flirty young ladies for Asif.

Charlie will be along shortly with prices but if I remember correctly the rooms are £35 single occupancy B & B and £60 B & B double occupancy.


We would like to see as many attending as possible for what promises to be a great gathering. 


At your leisure, call the Belfry, place your booking and mention Charlie so the management know who is attending as Charlie is a regular there.

Shane the hotel manager has agreed to hold our 2014 room rates as follows:-

Single occupancy B&B @ £35 / night inc vat

Double occupancy B&B @ £60 / night inc vat

There are also 3 and 4 bed rooms available ( Kinky......very very Kinky) please ask Shane for a price.

As Steve has said the hotel now has a new block of rooms with free off road parking. You may even be able to park your bike outside the bedroom for that contented feeling.

Steve hopefully will be along soon to provide photographic evidence of such arrangements 

For those who missed 2014..............

The weather was good

We had booked 90% of the hotel accommodation

Europe was represented with Sweeden Belgum and Ireland registration plates in the bike park

Only one victim of gravity over the weekend ( me  )

Road trip across the border into downtown Wales

Entertainment provided while dining by locals who rammed their vehicles together outside the hotel

For the brave or foolhardy a visit to The Littledean Jail 

After an extensive diet of coffee and cheese covered chicken only one near death experience. 

But that man has survived and returned in 2015 with the immortal words "where's the nearest A&E?"  Will be good to catch up with him at this meet if he can make it.

On a serious note I was and still am proud to be associated with a group of people who when the unexpected happens come together to support and help a fellow member in trouble a long way from home.

So what's on offer for 2016?

A meet up of like minded bikers who enjoy good banter friendship and riding.

Rides out

Chilling out

Really what ever floats your boat is ok as long as I'm not arrested 

So if you've got a GTR please bring it with you.

I know some of you have already ordered your new 1400GTR  to ensure that after last years effort you'll be turning up on the right bike ( wonder who that could be ?  )

For those of you who have had, still got, or really fancy getting a GTR you are all welcome.

Event organisers have made special arrangements with hotel management for all visiting K16's to be locked away in the trash can enclosure so as not to sully the view of magnificent Kawasaki 1400GTRs on display
