Air filters.....................................
Is a K&N worth it?  :undecided:
I know for long term ownership it costs in with cleaning instead of replacement, but is there any benefit noted with supposed better breathing? Any running / mapping issues?
Pipercross seem another used alternative, but washing and oiling foam filters.............moved on from that, unless they are well received?
Thoughts appreciated please.
Patience is something you admire in the driver behind you and scorn in the one ahead.

I've used K&N in the past and always found them to be a good product

Can't say that I have any experience of Pipercross

I have the pipercross, and I found it improved the engine running.  The throttle used to be hesitant at roundabouts and junctions etc, but its almost unnoticeable now. I doubt if it would work for everyone though.

I've stopped running K&Ns.  There's a reason they flow more air...   They don't filter as well.  I used to run them in my vehicles as well.  Got rid of them.  They flow more air because they don't filter it as well.  Vehicles that I ran them on used more oil.  Now I will say that I haven't noticed that on the C14 but on the cars I have.  I'm sticking with proper paper filters now.  And you know, I don't miss that gigantic boost of HP I got from them.
