funny you should mention the car tyre (tire) practice  George it's something that's recently been discussed on another forum I frequent. ....just cant see the sense in it myself   :no:

Strangely enough, I get it. Over there they have a LOT of straight roads, less rain, and their roads are generally more abrasive than ours, so a car tyre with its harder rubber gives vastly better rear tyre mileage and the effect on cornering is less than you'd expect.
Illegal over here but I still wouldn't do it even if it wasn't as that difference in handling feels like going back to Avon Ditchfinders. :no: :shit:
