have used the gold ceramic carbon sintered front and rear pads on a few bikes over the years but only on bikes have bought to repair and sell on, and thought they felt and stopped the bikes just as good as any other pads. but  :agree: the low price dose tend to put one off.. but would I use them on a 350kg bike with 150 bhp well  I did buy front and rear s.b.s pads for the zzr1400 I had but sold the zzr1400 before I fitted them  so will be using the s.b.s pads which are the same fittment front and rear as the gtr1400 so will be replacing the gtr pads with theses s.b.s pads when required  I have used theses s.b.s pads on various bikes over the years and have always given good feel, powerfull stoppin and never had any brake fade with them. if you have not bought any pads yet, theses s.b.s pads are excellent value. here is the link for the front and rear on a ebay listing.. p.s hope this answers your question  p.s if you do buy theses front s.b.s pads remember the listing is for one caliper only.. so don't forget to order 2 sets :whistling: well you never know  obviously the rear only needs one set :whistling:  p.s forgot to mention.. theses pads are the RS type and there best for racing or trackdays, if you are going to buy theses s.b.s pads ask the seller to send you the HS type theses are recommended for road use

Hello everybody. I have a problem with my front brake. I bought my GTR about 2 months ago with 35000km. When I use the front brake above about 70km/h I feel some shake from the front . The brake disk is good and the previous owner was changed the brake pad. Anybody can help me ...? Thank you for your advice

nightrider

I would guess that one of the front discs is warped ,get. Them properly checked out , the only other one to get checked would be the head bearings , any good bike shop should be able to tell you the cause of the shake ,   :biker3:

As above.

Check the thickness of the actual disks, they should not be below 4.5mm if my memory serves me right, if you have access to a dial test indicator you can check to see if they are warped or have some run out. If all ok then rotate the bobbins which connect the disk carrier to the actual disk itself, these 7 bobbins should rotate quite easily otherwise they seize and warp the disk.

After all this then it may be the pads themselves in which case change them for a decent set and don't forget to put some anti slip grease on the rear.

Goldfren pads are rubbish. Poor initial bite and feel and they wear fast.
Mine were on my GTR 1000 fitted with CBR900RR calipers.
SBS HH are very good as are EBC HH.

Agreed, EBC HH are my choice of pads and in fact I have a complete set in my garage to for when I come back from my holiday in a weeks time.
