Are there any restrictions on power for USA bikes? It's a 2008 model that has the side reflectors on the lower forks and rear ..... Any clues gratefully received

As far as I know, none.  I've only had mine up to 100, which is quite fast enough for me.

Even if it was, the ECU could be re-flashed to remove it, which I think some over here have done.

If a USA model be careful to make sure the headlights have been changed as it could fail an MOT if not.
