Brakes

Dont know if its me but my rear brake is like it is solid,i have had bikes with linked brakes before (goldwing,cbr1000f and my fjr1300)but on my gtr it doesnt feel right on all the others i could apply the rear brake and the front would dip slightly but my gtr hardly moves...Are they all the same?

the rear only operates the front over certain speeds. also there is the switch to give 50:50 split or more like 70:30
