That was my thinking as well. I've had the misfortune of having had my bike stolen (and then house burgled a few days later) so I tend to err on to the slightly paranoid side of these things! ;)

Apparently it is unacceptable to electrify the garage door and build moats full of crocodiles

A good quality ABBUS disc lock will do the trick ... if you do need a chain and lock make sure the lock sits on the tyre or at least is not on the ground so it cant be smashed off in a jiffy.
