Do police dog units carry speed monitoring equipment?
From A-B In A Flash......... :-)

It would be highly unusual but still not a wise move to go blatting past one otherwise you may get a recorded delivery letter.  ;D

Cartman

Not usually, but they do have some VERY fast German Shepherds ;D
Once you realise we are all mad, life starts to make sense

I was riding last night on the A46 Leicester Western Bypass at after 11pm I had done a couple of multi lorry overtakes and had tucked back into the inside lane when in the distance I noticed a set of very bright lights approaching like a bat out of hell in the outside lane, the car came level with me and sat at the side of me for about a mile or so and then shot off again, it was a Leicestershire Dog Unit Ford Focus, is this intimidation? or just a PNC check as i was on a bike after dark.

What annoys me is these traffic patrols posing as Police.

They get jealous when you out-accelerate them. <LOL>
I blew a Police Scooby away down a sliproad onto the M25 (they really are quite slow)
I got followed for about 10 miles so I stayed at exactly 70Mph and eventually they got bored and zoomed off.
About 10 mins after that I passed them parked in one of their favourite spots.
I was still doing 70.  ;D

NB, ya gotta love the Traffic Wombles or as I call them "The Noddy Police". <LOL>

What would you rather be   or a wasp?

The worst ones are those Village fekin Do gooders ...you cant get prosecuted , but get a warning letter. I hate down shifters with naff all better to do than stand in there precocious little Village & Bugger around with a Speed camera...I always give them a hard time. I call them all kinds of names...they scribble away in there little note books at great speed. Hastily trying to write down the details on your vehicle. As long as not been speeding they cant do feck all. Ive never yet had a letter telling me Im not allowed to tell them to crawl back up there own Ars***s...!

Only if it contains a sniffer dog.

I still follow the advice given when I did my bike safe course. If you see cop car don't brake hard as you're more likely to cause an accident.

The way I see it, unless you have a speedohealer on the bike, at 70 mph the speedo is likely to be out and you're more likely to be doing 65mph. Add in a bit of tolerance and I'm quite happy to pass police cars at 80.

I have never seen a Dog Van fitted with anything to do with Traffic !
He has obviously thought " Oi ! " but can't prove anything so he accelerates up to you, sits at the speed limit for a while ( to reach you a lesson ) and then flies off into the abyss !
Simple as that !
