With the humid temperatures we are having at the moment I'm finding that when first starting the bike the engine is prone to stall at each junction/stop for the first 3-4 minutes. It's as if because the air temp is up, no 'choke' (tickover increase) is being applied.

Once fully warmed, normal service is restored.

Anyone experienced this.

Up the warm sitting idle to about 1150-1200 rpm.

Yep, I used to get that on mine so I just marginally turned up the idle speed, it worked.

Thnaks. Will have to check the warm idle.

I didn't want to just turn it up a bit as when the temp is cooler (not cold) the cold tickover is fairly rapid already. Not sure how the ECU does the cold tickover, and didn't want it racing ... it already bangs quite hard when first gear is selected on fast tickover.

Yup, just up the idle to 1200.
Fast idle is handled by the engine management.
As for the bang when ya select 1st, all modern Kwaks do that. You get used to it. It gets a bit softer once run in.

Idle once warm is about 900 on standard and 1000 in eco mode. Will have a tweak at the weekend.

The both Honda STX1300 used to bang into 1st, so did the Blackbird, so I don't think it's just a Kwacker thing. ;) Really don't get why they do that when you've disengaged the gearbox from the engine by operating the clucth. Yes, may be a bit when cold as the oil drags, but it really shouldn't happen once warmed. The rest of the time most modern gearboxes are very slick.
