Up nice and early sun shining
On road by 08.15
Temp 4C
Fuel shows full but I know differently
Would appear that we have a low battery in TPS R
Such is life. Another Job for next service
By the time we hit Corby A43 by-pass temp now 7C
Should I take the sweatshirt off ?
Progress good as we join A14 at Kettering looks like we are going to make up time for our 10.00 RV at M6 Corley services
As we hit the M6 we run into pactchy fog temp now back down to 4C
TomTom decides that we need to come off the M6 the junction before the services. I ignore it. But wonder if Steve will take a guided tour of Nuneaton before getting to the RV point
Now arrived no Steve but a txt telling me RTA M1 20mins delay
So sat with a 5 espresso caffine hit playing Billy no mates
Wil report later

So I get a missed call on my phone
So I return the call...................its Steve
I'm here he says ..................were are you ?
I'm in Corley bike park mine is the only bike here I reply
No says Steve............he's the only bike in the Corley bike park...............
After some time it was established between us that one of us was in the south bound services the other in the north bound

To be continued

Lonewolf

Where did we go indeed, that is a very good question.  :mfr_lol:

Well one of us went M6 Northbound and waited for the other at some services whilst the other went M6 Southbound and waited at the same services. Needless to say that that was never going to catch on as a meet up, close, but not quite there!

Eventually though thanks to the wonders of modern science and Apple we sorted it all out. We never did discuss who was right and who was wrong....never mind I'm sure Charlie will get it right next time.  :whistling:

There was something about this coach which attracted Charlie, cant quite put my finger on it and why did he keep twiddling his bike key constantly and throwing it on the ground?  All very strange.

A blast from the past. We had a terrific GTR meet here, when was it now, 2012 or 2013?

They have some more hounds, two 15 month old pups and a 7 year old. Unfortunately the older one of 17 yrs, has passed away.

Eagerly awaiting our grub weren't we Charlie?

And here's Fred bringing the rations.

Charlie always working.....

One day, this ferry which is still used daily may actually get repaired!

Barge for sale, should anyone be interested.

Happy Days indeed spent at this place.

A good selection of beers, what was that beer you were talking about, began with a B?

Like a Van Gogh painting.... :mfr_lol:

Charlie trying to sell my bike to some locals.

And finally, especially for Deb's as I know she loves the lump of metal really.  :whistling:

Just on the outskirts of Bradford as I was nearly at home, there was a stunning sunset and I just had to try and get a shot of it with the bike.

Charlie747

:hammer: I'm working on my formal reply watch this space folks

Debs

Great write up Steve with some lovely pictures. The sunset ones are fantastic and tbh I do like the K1600.

pross

Was that a sunset or were the yokels of Bradford firing the town and rioting  :whistling:

In our own unique way I believe we did Debs.  :listencarefully:

It all started when Steve emailed me suggesting we met where the M1 meets the M5

The pair of us never really looked back from that point onwards  :whistling:

Lonewolf

In my defence I didn't know there've would be a North and South side with the same name services. How ridiculous is that?
