whats a good pad for grip and stopping power, not bothered about pad life or cost , just want the best possible stopper. Ive had a read on all the different materials and it looks like carbon ceramic is the wa to go, if you rank them by cost the ceramic Lorraine are the most expensive at  twice the price of the others

any feed back ??

I haven't had good luck with Lorrain's.  Made a horrible racket from one side of the country to the other and back.  Got rid of them after that.  I'm not sure it's the same ones as you're speaking of, though.  They were made for the C14/GTR.  That's all I remember.  Also remembered not to buy them any more.  Also warped a set of rotors on that trip with them.  Bad juju.

Ask a racing team for that tip.......tried and tested by them, they should give you the in's and out's of it all.

I have the EBC Sintered ones fitted to my bike, been in for 3000 miles approx and no probpem for me and i have had to yank on them at least once hard.

I do however remove them once a month and clean the calipers etc.

stick with EBC and HH pads. carbon ceramic are for race applications only. they only really work on a track. just changed my front discs and pads and can chirp the front tyre with two fingers on the lever.

SBS every time. I switched to them after i was advised to use them(dual carbon) in my race bike .
I've now been using them on my road bikes for the last few years. Carbon are not advised for road use as they need a lot of heat to work. The standard sintered SBS are fine, but if you ride hard and brake heavy, the RS(race sinter) work fine on the road. Also great Value. Search fleabay

SBS, DP & EBC HH pads are all good for use with steel disks.
Carbon Ceramic are not like Carbon-Carbon that are used on MotoGP and F1 vehicles.
Carbon Ceramic require matched disks and pads and cost a packet.
Only available for some supercars to my knowledge.
You can get carbon ceramic pads for the GTR but are mostly used on the rear.
HHs are better for the front brakes.

I switched over to Brembo on my previous bikes and got good mileage and great stopping. Unless there is any reason that anyone has come across why I should not use these on the GTR, I will be switching to them when due for change.

On that note - what kind of mileage are you getting out of the pads (Front & Rear) and what make are the stock pads ?

viper

stock pads are branded Nissin same as calipers, after 12k miles they are about 75% worn and im ready to change them as soon as I find something I like, im happy to sacrifice life / grip as I don't do high miles and I can change them in 15 mins, just want the best stoppers

Burchy

Following the advice above, and at 8500 miles I've changed the OEM Nissin pads for SBS ones.  Gotta say they feel very good right from the get go and I think they are a bit sharper than the Nissins
