Finally got it all set up and went for a bimble.. I am really impressed how it performed. I am soooo happy I bought it and have no regrets on spending the amount I did.

Spotty Dog

It all depends ZG. There were 3 of us and it was like the blind leading the blind. I would say it took about 5 hours to fit but then we didn't know how to set it up.

I could now fit and set one up all on my own in about 3 to 4 hours.

What Deb's  :scooter: meant to say was that 3 fellow owners relaxed into the job at hand in the wall to wall shag pile carpeted heated man cave that is Big Alan's garage.......................

3.5hours were spent in training learning to use the expression "Spotty Dog !"

1.5hours were spent fighting our way through the thick carpet pile

0.5hours spent drinking fruity tea and coffee then masticating our way through some yummy cheese and ham baguettes to which we must thank the lovely Mrs Big Alan

:listencarefully:

It was a joy to work with 2 other like minded individual's. Debs is far to modest with her comment ref blind leading the blind.  The 3 of us had all studied the fitting instructions prior to the work and we reckoned about 4hours for the job.  Working at a relaxed but constant pace the kit was fully plug and play. The items fitted as per the book.  The time was lost ensuring the cable and wire runs were smooth and ensuring all was correct.  Now we've all done one I would not hesitate to recommend and or help a fellow member fit this unit.

I was lost for words when Debs told me of the phone support from down under.  Now that is customer care.

I just await Deb's flight test report as to the cable adjustment ensuring smooth transition from on/off commands

It was a pleasure to meet and work with you both and would not hesitate in joining the pair of you on another project.  :punk:

Just caught Alan's post and agree that at times 2/3 pairs of hands were very helpful   :mfr_lol:

Good job Debs & Co... +1 on being 'so happy with it'- I've had mine on for over a year now and never a problem (I ride every day, and the MCCruise get's used on the weekend rides). Uphill, downhill, it stays at constant set speed within 2 km/h or so. The trick is all in setting the right amount of cable play. Does yours have the vacuum servo or electronic? (mine's the vacuum). Every so often you'll have to drip a little light machine oil down the cables.

I have a mate in Melbourne, what's the best deal down under for one of these cost wise? If it's ok I might get her to buy me one and Bring it back with her when she comes over here in the summer that way hopefully I don't have to pay any poxy taxes.

Alan
Ducati owner now but I used to have a Black one, the fastest version.

Mine's the electronic type. Love it.

Sorry to all those (Particularly Big Alan!) for not responding to your Q on price of the unit here in Oz. It's below. I cant believe it's been a year since I've been on the forum - else I would have looked it up for you. Has your mate been over to UK yet from Melbourne? - if not, well, it's not too late!.

$1,085.00 AUD
(10% GST will be added in the cart for Australian orders only)

I want to replace the vacuum servo with Electronic type (dont know the cost for the changeover) as that will save me some space under the covers so I can add more bits (like a louder horn). The Vacuum servo type has two components - the servo itself and a piece of plastic conduit with a valve in it to act as a pressure vessel.
