Beowulf can is it loud?

Hi everyone looking for a little help here.a few years ago i bought a beowulf oval can for my 07 gtr.it was the 450mm long one.i was well pleased with both the look and sound of the can,meaty but not intrusive when touring and cruising in the 60-80mph zone.i have bid and won a tri oval version on ebay after having asked the seller if it was the 450mm version, he said yes.so today with excitemnt i opened the box to find the stubby 380mm version im not totally against the looks but prefer the 450mm look.however im also thing shorter equals louder.
and so at last to the question... any body had experience of both the 380mm and 450mm to know if theres a significant difference in noise levels.i ould keep it and try it but i dont want the ebayer saying not to my returning it.

I can't answer your question regarding the noise, however for a definitive answer I would suggest you simply ring Beowulf.


As for returning the item, that won't be a problem, if the item is not as described it can be returned and eBay will offer you a full refund even if the seller states they will not accept returns.

Might be worth asking the seller if you can try it on the bike else you will have to return it to him as its not as described in the listing.

I have the 380mm on my bike. The baffle fell out on a trip once and don't consider it loud. The bike does pop occasionally but the noise is definitely fine. I would suggest you loctite the baffle bolt or use a nyloc nut on it.

Mr Wolf i did contact on your advice and beowulf said it is louder.im negotiating with the ebayer and have decided to give it a go see if its ok,if not it will be up for sale on ebay in a week or so.I think personally it was a bargain so i should be able to get my money back.
