That's bad

How did you pay the 455 Euros? Credit card? If so, get the CC company involved.

That.s really bad and I feel for you Shaggs..

I would list everything wrong and make a complaint to Kawasaki France, or even to the head office.

Nice idea, however I suspect that the will just fob you off.

In the first instance I would make a representation to Kawasaki U.K, I know they aren't directly involved, but the chances are that they will be able to act on your behalf through the French importer. This whole scenario is clearly totally unacceptable  :hammer:

Shaggs was the 'repairing' dealer an authorised Kawasaki franchised dealership  ?

Hi I paid with a credit card and yes it was an authorised dealer believe it or not. Really not feeling the love for the bike right now, it doesn't feel like mine any more, like its been abused. Silly I know, but I'm just fed up with the whole episode. If Kawasaki UK offered me a  PX right now I think I'd take it. I'll continue with the diagnostics this afternoon, but not holding up much hope for it, the blown main fuse is a worry, like they've shorted something while poking around. Emails will be getting sent out to all concerned, I'll keep you informed of the outcome. Thanks everyone for keeping my spirits up!

Well it looks like it could be good news....... checked through the drawings and found I wasn't getting one of the 12v supplies to the display and to some parts of fuse box number 2, which supplied things like the relay box, ECU, and the FUEL PUMP!!!  Stripped the loom right back and found loads of joints where wiring splits off in different directions. One of the joints was corroded and the wire had broken off. Made a temporary repair and all fired back to life including the display and fuel pump. Not re-fitted the tank yet, but pretty confident that it will burst into life when I do. I'm going to spend a good few hours re-making and soldering the wiring together.
We used to have wiring joints like this in the looms in work, where the wires are just heated and crimped together without the use of solder or a metal crimp. As soon as water gets in the joint corrodes and breaks up. They are bloody useless but easily remedied with a bit of solder.
I'm still going to report that useless garage for their poor workmanship, the fact that parts are missing, and the fuel pump mis diagnosis along with the 455 euros they fleeced me for.

Hopefully I'll get the bike back together just in time for the cold weather and rain   :mfr_lol:

:asshole: to the French thick lazy  :censored: in Limoges Kawasaki dealership :mfr_lol:

Well done shaggs, seems like you could provide some training for those dimwits in Limoges, maybe at £350.00 a day plus expenses, when you've completed the course send them one or two of these  :single fuck: :single fuck: :single fuck: :single fuck:

Great to know you have found the problem so far.. Fingers crossed she is all ok soon.

If my baby had come back in that condition I would lose the will to live.. It would feel like she had been bike raped by  :censored: wits.

davetherave

I've been following this story and couldn't believe the complete incompetence of the Limoges dealership  and then to have the audacity to charge that huge amount :gunsmilie: :gun_bandana: then you go find the fault which supposed dealer trained staff couldn't.....................what complete and utter gormless, incompetent, lazy lying garlic quaffing barstewards  :asshole:

Brilliant that it looks like you have found the fault and can fix it

Best wishes with your legal challenge

shaggs147

Hi Dave, thanks for the support. Had an answer from the dealership, which was basically full of lies and bull.... I have responded to this, and if its not resolved soon I think I'll send all the info to the biking press and see if they want to make a story of it. Has anyone else ever done that to highlight poor service etc?

Rusty

I'm sorry, like everyone else I'm sure to hear of your appalling service .. I think the best way to get your bad news heard and to embarrass them into helping you out is to post it on their Facebook page or Twitter ... Your message goes out instantly world wide ... I have done it with Tesco, ....at a restaurant and at Thorpe Park ... Genuine gripes about poor service ( and I'm not a serial winer ! ) and I have always received a decent and satisfactory response ! Try it.

shaggs147

Cheers for the idea Rusty, I'll give them a little more time then look into that if they don't come good!

You can always trust Nigella to come up with an idea.  :whistling:
