Pannier lid removal/re-fitting

Dunno if this has been covered before..........
As part of my major panel replace/repair I am going to get the paint shop to do both lids. I am assuming they will need to be removed?

Anyone done this? Advice? hints and tips?

Iv'e never 'rivited' anything - so will need a rivet gun..... unless I re-fix with small nuts bolts! IF Possible???
So far, only had a cursory look.  AND IF the paint shop will do it - then I'll leave it to them...

But, as I say IF anyone has done it themselves..... I'd appreciate any info.
