I have no idea.  When I connected mine and hit the horn button it wade a noise like...

"thunk...uh"

so then I twiddled the tuning bolt or whatever it is and got it to make a proper "PARP".  Half a turn this way or that way at a time to see what difference it makes etc.

having the engine running obviously supplies the whole thing with a few more volts and so the parp becomes louder...  That's my experience anyway.

I would advise not twiddling anything until you've tried it with the engine running anyway :)

Having installed a pair of air horns on my bike, through a relay, the main feed has blown a 10amp fuse
Does anyone know the fuse rating for a typical air horn compressor.

viper

they do draw more than 10 amps, ideally you should read the instructions to obtain the correct rating but if not try a 20 amp fuse, the horns maybe rated to draw more than this, anything up to 30 amps is possible, anyway try 20a for now

If they are Nautilus then 15A should cover it mine are a copy and 10A is fine I would check the draw with an Amp meter if they blow the 15A mate
