Ali and  I are now 4 days into our trip and here are a few photos. Ali is in yellow lid and black bike.

Panoramic shots were taken about 10  miles north of Ullapool on the A835

Hartside Café -  a bit breezy up there - en-route from Penrith over the A686 to the Tyne Valley

Carter Bar - the Scottish Border on the A68

Corran Ferry, about 7 miles south west of Fort William

Next two show Ali pulling into the lay by where the panoramic shots were taken.

....and finally.....  Ullapool Harbour and SUNSHINE.

We got home at the end of the seven days having done 1600 miles.

Beegee ... you are so right ..     ... as I rode into Scotland last year with Mr Wolf I was getting all excited and punching the air ( much to his amusement !! )  ..I had made it from the south coast and it was already looking good ! Lets hope the sun is shining for us this year !

:mfr_lol: Poor lad, he doesn't get out much and see the countryside. We take it for granted up here.

I have been wetting my appetite and looking at camp sites on The Isle of Skye and Scotland generally ... it doesn't matter if you want to sleep in a tent or have a proper bed there is so much on offer .. Boths, sheds, wigwams, domed things that look like upturned boats .. great stuff and all with a view to kill for. I have said it many times .. you Northern Contingent have some reet decent scenery to ride around.

Not long now Nigel, not long at all.  :mfr_lol:

I've just added some captions to the photos at the top of this post.

Nice pictures  but it does look a tad breezy  Last september we stayed in a "pod" (best discription is a small curved building made of pine) in dumfries and galloway, excellent and warm too.

We love Scotland  :biker3: it's so beautiful.
