We've just put a write up of our recent (very wet) trip to Scotland on our web site - http://www.thewellers.net/trips/Scotland11/Scotland11.htm.

Hi, loved the write up, (and yes I did read it all). I've book marked your web site and I'll spend a bit more time over next week exploring it. Hardknott Pass is not for the faint hearted, its a challange but a rewarding challange. On a clear day the views are outstanding but as you mentioned there are one or two particularly treacherous bends!

Many thanks for sharing that with us all.  ;D

That is an excellent writeup. Looking at the GPS map of your 2011 1st quarter rides, it seems you've already covered most of the UK

Great write up ... Scotland is certainly the place I have my heart on when I have more time on my hands ... looked wet though ! The GPS map is useful .. looks like you have done a lot of the UK .... keep the pics and write ups coming. Great stuff !

Thank you (all). Yes, it's been a busy year so far. I've kept the tracks from when we've used the SatNav in 2011 which is what you see on the web site. That amounts to just over 11,300 miles so far and Lyn was sitting on the back for all but just over 1500 miles of them (she didn't fancy a wet Bun Burner 1500 Gold in February for some inexplicable reason!).

We've been incredibly lucky with the weather for most of our riding this year so I guess we were due for a wet one in Scotland; I'm not complaining.

I confess that over Easter we went out to Get Geared in Leatherhead on Monday and didn't look at a bike for the rest of the weekend; it was rather pleasant being idle ;D. Normal service resumes this weekend when we're off to France and we're heading for the IOM on Wednesday.

Aye, well I'm looking forward to my trip up into Scotland next month.
