Hello

Another convert to comfort with a little speed  :whistling:

I picked up my bike exactly a week ago, chopped in a sprint ST1050 for my armchair and I'm loving every second of it.    I rode from Scarborough to Didcot and back again in the mist, and it was much, much easier on the way back.

Anyway, she has not been named yet, born in 2012 and she is Red of sorts, the colour i'm not sure about yet, it's so not a sportsbike colour.

I probably will annoy everyone with loads of questions at some point, but I will start by trolling through the theads first to make sure it not been asked before - honest!!

welcome aboard and ask as much as you need, anything you want to do to your bike has probably been done by someone on here, there are some good technical guys and gals on here who like to help

yorkshirepud

Thanks Viper.

I'm already on with a few mods, some I will photograph as I go along.

Having booked myself on a tour to the black forest in June so busy at the moment getting a few things together.

So far i have on the way:

A pair of road pilot 4 GT's as it was on its original tyres at 5000 miles and they were well past the best.
Givi Screen
Scorpion serket exhaust in titanium
Hugger
Fender extender
Tanklock bag

I'm also on with a budget satnav install.    I have in the past spent a fortune on BMW Navigation and a tomtom rider install, but ultimately decided this time I would go my own way as I just end up selling them with the bike.

If anyone is interested I will photograph it as I go along.  It has cost me so far less than £165 in parts, including the satnav, the only major drawback is there is no sound, but I can live with that for the price.

Boomer, think you probably mean BFG hospital as opposed to British Forces Post Office?  However, you were delivered.

Anyway, welcome yorkshirepud. Don't think we have too many red ones.  Nice!

OK a first pic for you.   I'm feeling special now as you tell me a red one is a bit rare !!!!

GIVI screen arrived this morning - I don't know if it must have had a kawasaki touring screen fitted as the Givi one is the same height ?!?

Lovely looking bike. Where did you buy it from? Autorama?

I believe that is the exact same one I was watching recently on Ebay, very low mileage, I did enquire about it but some  :censored:  had already bought it!
