How far can you go with the low fuel warning on?

Yesterday I did 20 miles with it flashing. Filled up with 18.5l, meaning there was still 3.5l left in the tank.

I might get one of those tubular storage boxes that you can put under the panniers and have one with a fuel bottle inside. I'm trying to remember where I saw the tubular storage boxes. They were a neat idea.

I see a new project coming along ...

We once did just over 30 slow'ish miles with the 'low fuel' warning flashing. I didn't think to check how much we put in.

1.5l isn't much. It would be nice if that was a bit bigger but then it probably wouldn't fit on the pannier.

I've started using ECO mode on motorways lately when we're on timed runs as it doesn't seem to make a lot of difference to performance but it does increase the range. I wasn't happy with it in town or on country roads but found it OK on dual carriageways+.
