Well I've taken a chance and bought one of those Abba Superbike stands, the one that Keith posted above. I had a look at a ZZR today and compared that with the GTR and couldn't see what the difference was for the fixing points.

Check all your clearances for the bike both pre lift and post lift before use. I used my abba stand with my previous Vstrom, and had to remove the rider footpegs each time before using the stand.
Not a major problem, but  worth checking all your clearances before bending a brake or gear lever.

hi wolf if you have ordered direct from abba shouldn't take long for delivery, please be careful when you first try the stand out ,i would recommend two  people at first  just to make sure it is clear of everything when you lift the bike also as i said although it is a good bit of kit i found it to be a bit awkward at first till i got used to it ,as i said i think it is practise and a bit of a knack to use them at first ,hope it all works well for you

Debs

Steve...

Can you post a video of you fitting and lifting the bike  :ohplease:

I would be very interested in seeing one in action on the GTR

Doebag, I will check all the clearances, thanks for the tip.

Keith, I bought it off Ebay last night and then went over to collect it from Leeds. It has a fitting kit for it, not sure which bike the kit is for, I might have to order another fitting kit from Abba before I can use the stand however there may also be a way around not having to do that, I'm just looking at options at the moment.

Debs, consider it done, as for the video, you don't want much do you?  :mfr_lol:  However since you asked so nicely I will do it for you. Just bear with me please while I either adapt the fitting kit which came with it or order another one.

Steve.... If you want a hand from someone who knows what they are doing and could help you with the video I'll be right up !  :mfr_lol:

If you come up to help, are you up for another authentic Bradford curry?

Now it's just a waiting game....... :whistling:

I've never known anyone be able to eat a whole one on their own yet.

Last time I had a Bradford curry I spilt a bit.
It dissolved the Formica on the tabletop. =:-0
