I want to remove to two sideways facing reflectors on the front of my bike. The ABS sensor cable is in a clip on the right hand side reflector. Has anyone removed this reflector and left the cable out the clip ? And if so, has it caused any hassles ?

Last thing I need is for this cable to get fouled up somewhere.

Thanks

I think the "reflector" you refer to may be  peculiar to S.A spec bikes

I don't know OC. All I know is that they are there and I want to remove them. Hampers with cleaning.

UK models have a clip for the cable on the part of the fork lower that mounts the front fender. I guess a cable tie or simlar would do the same job as the clip.
We don't have the reflectors on UK models.

Thanks. No worries. I have removed them and it seems like it will be OK.

My biggest worry at this stage is the fact that we are about to lose the last cricket test to the Ausies !!!   :shit:

your reflectors are a legality just like our rear reflectors are. Do you have an Annual check on motorbikes to check such things, could not having them effect your insurance should someone pull out on you from a side road at night? Id leave them on, they sound a good idea, we should have them in the uk

They look like a bit of an after thought for the US market, have vehicle checks started in SA ? Tax disc holders will be history in UK after 2014....

Nope, no legal issues down here in SA as far as that is concerned, so off they went.

As far as the cricket is concerned, we are staring down the barrel on the last day today but hopefully can hang on for a draw !
