I tend to lock in to the bike gripping with the inside edge of my boots. While the GTR has some fairly good heel guards this isn't preventing me rubbing the frame on the left side (gear change). Had the same issue on the ST1300 and there were some accessories to cover these areas in hard wearing vinyl/carbon. I've searched but can't find anything current for the GTR. Any suggestions/advice/thoughts?

I too am suffering the same problem ... And can't find anything on the net. Gap in the market?

There are some vinyl parts which are sold for the GTR heel plate, 2kwaks had them on his and it was a member on here who lived in Ireland I believe who used to manufacture them. Keep looking on Ebay, if I find them I'll obviously post a link on here.

i rubbed the paint off my heal guards within 2 weeks of ownership.

I got some adhesive carbon fibre effect sheet off ebay , made a pattern and cut two layers and applied, it was only cheap stuff and its still on 3 years later and still looks good.

search for 3m dinoc on ebay. buy a small sheet and cut it to size to protect the frame.

thats not for the heal plates jay!

Yes, the heal plates are included in the set VP, look at the picture, I haven't seen them available for just the heal plates, only the full set...  :undecided:

The 3M Dinoc looks promising.

Just to clarify guys, the heel plates are fine and almost doing their job. The bit I'm rubbing against is the frame just in front of the left heel plates.
