I need to replace the plastic clips that hold the brake hose that runs across the front fender as they snapped when removed from to allow fender removal.

MOT is booked for Sat and not wanting to have to secure the hose with cable ties or wire I rang the nearest dealer.

ME:Hello,  I need  blah blah blah   parts......  and wonder do you have them in stock and if so can I pay over the phone and could you post them today 1st class please?

THEM: NO!  "Fred" who deals with new parts is off today and they'll need to be ordered in....... ring back tomorrow!"

I then rang the next nearest dealer:

ME: Hello,  I need  blah blah blah   parts......  and wonder do you have them in stock and if so can I pay over the phone and could you post them today 1st class please?

THEM: let  me look up the part.

I then told them the part no from the on line parts diagrams and after a few minutes he found the part.

THEM: Yes we have them in stock.
ME: great can you get them in the post tonight.
THEM: Yes but that wont guarantee next day delivery, but we can send them next day for a charge
ME: ok that's fine

and we did the transaction. Tomorrow I'll have the clips.. plus spares for next time... and back together on Sat morning before the mot.

I think I'm right in saying that actually, Cradley Kawasaki are the main parts shop for Kawasaki in the UK.

All other Kawasaki parts are held in the Netherlands, which are on next day delivery - to the dealer.

I've found even my favourite dealer use Cradley - because parts have often got both Bournemouth and Cradley stickers on them.

Cradley Website is also pretty good - even for nuts and bolts...

On my old GTR they'd snapped ages ago and it never affected the MOT

Interesting, I need some new parts to tidy the bike up after the winter. I may as well just order direct then from Cradley.
