We don't have a thermometer.
Neither does my GTR1000 which I have been riding for 3 months now.

Does loss of body parts through frost bite count ?

Lonewolf

Boomer, then you must upgrade your bike for this challenge.

Charlie, loss of body parts only count as a minor flesh wound, you need to man up.

Viper, a Merc and it doesn't have an integrated sat nav? Shame on you for buying the inferior model.... :whistling:

Rusty

I think you mean to say " shame on you for buying a Merc " ... never mind what model !

I spent 8k on extras for that car and refuse to pay the 2.5k for the " navigation pack ", which is not as good as a garmin and soon goes out of date. In my beemer i got one of those dvd player/satnav double size  head units off ebay that your retro fit, its awsome and only cost £180

no not this year , it was 2 years back , early january in Inverness, it actually went to about -12 , never experienced cold like that, it cut through to the bone with the sharp wind , however Inverness is beautiful , especially in the winter

Nah, traction control is for wimps and linked brakes are for pansies.  :punk:
I'll stick with my 07 and my 1989 GTR1000 thanks.

I rode in -20C in Germany in 1984. Was +2C when I left Belgium 6 hours earlier. By the time I got to the outskirts of Munich I'd been following the snowplough for 30 miles and had no choice but to follow him into his depot. They warmed me up with a heater and some coffee. I had icicles from each nostril to my upper lip. They really hurt coming off!
The bike (Z1300/6) didn't make it to the office in downtown Munich. I locked and abandoned it after dropping it for the 4th time and walked the last 2 miles.
I delivered the damned package though! Took 9 hours when the normal was 5.
Heated grips, heated jacket, heated trousers, heated socks and lots of layers, oh and an uprated alternator and bigger battery.
I was used to riding in -5C but that was ridiculously cold!

+1 Viper .... even if I spent a load of money on a top of the range car ... £2000+ for the sat nav when you can get a perfectly decent one for £200 .. madness !

Pah! I've got no chance!

+12°C again today and clear enough for me to see the mountains from my apartment.

Ros, any more of this gloating and you'll be as popular as a fart in a lift  :mfr_lol:
