Time to get that 'young un' in to show you how  :mfr_lol:

I use photobucket but that isn't really as straightforward as the system on here

Anybody have a "mate" in the trade who can supply (not fit) PR3 tyres? I could do with a rear one sat in the garage ready to fit in August, best price i can find is £154 delivered.

Alan
Ducati owner now but I used to have a Black one, the fastest version.
Previous, Sprint ST (2), VFR 800, Fireblade's (4) SP1, VTR1000, GPZ900, CB250, BSA Bantam D14/4, Suzuki TS100, SX200.

Rusty

BA ... that's a pretty good price as it is ... I would be amazed if you could get it cheaper but you never know ! Good Luck !

Boomer

Not that good. I paid £159 for my last PR3 rear and that included fitting to a loose rim.
Universal Tyres, Billericay, Essex.

Fitting the tyre is free for me anyways, one thing do you balance the rear as usual?

Right, new pr3 on the rear. Can't recall the mileage of the rear but I'm sure it wasn't that great this time.

Hi,I was quite happy with the original Bridgestones, but picked up a big rusty nail in the rear, and had some BT023 put on.As this was only yesterday,I will let you know how they perform.I had just over 3900 miles on the originals, with probably the same mileage left.As most of my mileage was touring two up,I was pleased with them.It can be difficult to gauge tyre performance from one brand to another,as riders vary so much. One riders idea of warm up,or wet performance for example, will obviously be different to the next.I think as a general guide, the opinion of other riders of the same bike should be considered, but stick with the tyre that suits your type of riding.I had some Avons on a Pan European a couple of years ago,and was delighted with them, but nobody else rated them.I always take what the press say with a pinch of salt,as I prefer to trust the feedback of real riders in the real world. cheers.

Had my third set of PR3s fitted today at 27,402 miles. £285 fitted ride-in, ride-out. Last set had done 9,400 miles.

I simply adore these tyres. Magnificent in all conditions.

On the downside, the tyre fitter could not balance the front because the front wheel bearings were so shot - the wheel was wobbling on the balancer. I'd not noticed when riding, I just thought it was the shocking chocolate discs  :mfr_lol:

65,000 miles now. Loving this bike.

Martin, get some decent bearings and replace the dust seals at the same time. The stock ones seems to last about 20 - 25k miles

Just replaced the original BT O21 front with a Pirelli Angel ST at 7500 miles. Really strange wear pattern developing on the Bridgestone - sort of started to go V-shaped.
Never seen a tyre wear out that way, and it started to feel a bit twitchy going into sharper corners at speed and wobbly over 130mph.  :surrender:
I had an Angel on the back for nearly 3K miles now and it felt a lot better than stock.
Unfortunately I had to do a lot of motorway (incl. Autobahn) miles all through Western Europe lately and it starts to show a bit in the middle of the tread. But I will have the chance to do a number of passes in the Alps in 2 weeks so I hope I can get it nice and round again.
The later you brake the longer you go fast.

RA are a nice tyre but inconsistent in quality.

First set on my GTR were superb - great handling feedback and fair longevity (5.5k on the rear if I recall rightly)

Second rear was a little vague, but second front and third rear were just mediocre.

I do like them, but just watch for this
