There's a guy in our IAM group selling one of these, he wants £200 for it. He paid £290 for it recently and its never been used.

Cant comment on the lift your looking at, but wouldnt like to put a GTR on it due to balance issues so I can see why your asking,
this is what i use and it can be tricky on your own sometimes.

Ant, that looks a proper job, what make is that lift?

I got it from C J Autos ( Heywood ) Ltd. Very similar to the clarke one. Originally bought a Sealey one, but sent that back will 14 faults       ( mostly safety issues ) and then hunted round for the best deal.

I can get the bikes on and off myself ( just )  and the GTR and FJR will stay upright ok while I strap down with just the front wheel clamped, but you do need the space to store it as its long......

TBH I wouldn't trust any bike of mine on that type of lift Kenneth, whilst I do understand that if space, or lack of it is an issue, I would only recommend what I have used for a good few years, which is a 'professional' lift from these people

True, but dya know I had struggled for years without a lift, after I bought this one I kept wondering 'how the hell did I ever manage without it'

I use it all the time so I've got my monies worth out of it, and I wouldn't want to even think about the cost of repairs for a bike that has fallen off a cheaper version

What ever bike I am not using [ normally the Z1100] I park on the bike lift, no extra room taken up

Seriously though, the type you linked to in your opening post does not inspire me with confidence on anything except a lightweight off roader.

I thought it looked like a good little bit of kit but as the other chaps have said, not really for a bike the size of a Gtr. I would be concerned about knocking it as I walked past it and it toppling over. It doesn't seem to have a big enough footprint on the floor to give me the confidence to buy one. If you're struggling for garage space why not slice out a chunk of the floor, put one of the other lifts mentioned in the hole then park the bike on that. That way the floor will still be level..... don't do that if you're one of those loons who keeps the bike in the kitchen or living room though, the mrs might get p@##*d off lol.
