Other news outlets are reporting he didn't die.
Having been the victim of a house burglary I have no qualms about them being shot.

Serves the little shit right. Life is cheap in Brazil and nobody will lose any sleep over it, hopefully the bike wasn't damaged when it was dropped!

Not quite sure that is "justifiable" or "proportionate" to the threat posed .. but then again they are not in England ... nice to see life is so cheap ... and all over for a bike ! No problems with that.

that.s real life in brazil.  My brother lives there already more than 10 yrs in an well armered part of the city belo horizonte. And for work he travels every week to rio and sao also.
He nor his brazilian wife and kid can leave house alone.  Once when riding the car there were also some bikers around the car with guns. You have to give mobile and wallet, if you hesitate they simple shot you... life is cheap indeed...

Government tries to clean the worst parts of the big cities because of the WC football next year...

Sad...very sad...

But...still... brother wants to stay there for the rest of his life...
Even if the brazilian footballteam is lower in the ranking than the belgian red devils  :mfr_lol:  ( ps who made only a draw with the b-team against Wales, they were already placed for the WC)
many grtz ;-
