Question for the coppers on this site.

Is it illegal to ride a bike on private roads without a helmet, tax, insurance etc? Not that I have, just wondering what the law is on private roads

Perfectly legal, just get the permission of the landowner first.

Don't be confused with a 'private road' in which the public still have access to and is merely paid for by the owners ie not kept by the council and private land which you can pretty much do as you wish on.

....... And of course those roads that are open to the public only with expressed permission, those owned by The Crown and those accessible by virtue of public access ...
