Oversize front tyre for trike

Hi

Long shot I know, but does anyone know if a 130/70 17 rear tyre will fit in the standard front mud guard?

Have done a few miles now, 100 or so this weekend in the sun with a crowd we met at a bike shop charity event, some quite spirited riding  its time for a new front tyre 

Sadly trikes are known to eat them a bit, and wear just the middle away as there is no banking ...
I am told one way to help is to fit a back tyre to the front, more rubber in the centre, but the mud guard looks a closeish fit
