It looks like a motorcycle and side car to me, not a trike, therefore helmets must be worn.

Richard

Hi

Yes its a Motorbike and side car, so lids must be worn

Info on the law here:
http://www.trikeshop.co.uk/trike_law.htm

Its all down to the definition of a bike
"(3) In this regulation "motor bicycle "means a two wheeled motorcycle, whether or not having a sidecar attached"

Crazy if you ask me but there we are, nearly as daft as the fact I can just hop on a 1400 GTR trike, with no bike experience and off I go with a car licence (now stopped for anyone who take there test after Jan 2013)

O.C.

Yep, its a bike with sidecar attached, and as has been pointed out helmets are required unless you wear a turban  :whistling:

However, I doubt there will be a prosecution, there is a new system in place now and everything is geared towards education rather than prosecution.  This applies to nearly all traffic related offences.

Or, according to Top Gear, you are a woman in Uganda and are travelling back from the hairdresser, in which case a poly bag will suffice...

That footage is years old

Winston, have you had any feedback on the Pentip system and TOR's from your old traffic buddies?

Our guys say its a bit of a lottery dictated by stats, i.e. how many have been sent on courses or prosecuted in any particular month.

Winston Smith

Have no contact with any of my ex colleagues Steve.

Not being rude, but that is all my past now and I have really severed the links.

I have found it quite healthy and liberating!

Chris, fair play to you. Some people live and breath the job, some see it as a means to an end. Work to live, not live to work. I'm in the former category.

Winston Smith

I was did live and breathe it but as much as some.  I didn't want to stay in the job either in blues or as a civvie, and as I say - it is healthy!

I have always worked to live, although have always been professional - just not let it rule my life
