Thought I'd better say "Hi" as I've just bought a 2007 GTR.  Scrolling through the posts it seems that I have the usual problems to contend with such as TPS batteries and slightly warped discs.  No real worries.  All fixable

This is the 13th Kawasaki in the Burchy household over the last few years, so I'm well versed in Big K engineering.  Have to say the 14 seems well made and certainly better than previous models I've had.

Previous tourer is/was a ZRX1200S that I picked up 18 months ago with only 12K on the clock.  Immaculate condition and has never missed a beat.  Went to the MotoGP at Mugello on it last July.  Had ZRXs for about 6 years so time to  move on...

Anyone want to buy a good 1200?

Burchy, welcome to the forum and congratulations on the GTR. Yes it has a few niggles but what doesn't these days. It's still a great bike.
Plenty of very friendly folk on here so please keep coming back and seeing what we're all up to.

Often known as BurchyKawasaki round these parts!

I've a son, aged 24 who's as mad about Kawasakis as I am.  First one was bought in 2005 after years on a Moto Guzzi

As you can see we likes the 7Rs, one of which was really trick with Yoshi cams and full Akra system.  SOoooo quick

Current stock is the last 12, the 11, the 9R C, the 10 and the GTR.  The 12 is up for sale shortly and is a cracking bike.

WE do all our own servicing except changing tyres where a local chappie does it for £10 a pop.  Biggest job we've undertaken was to plant a Z1000 gearbox in the ZX9R last summer.  It was almost a straight swap. Almost  .  Had to take every cog, washer and shim off the shafts in the end.

Now... do I start an oil thread or a tyre thread, or perhaps discuss which pads to use....
