Thank you for the reminder ... A Stebil Nautilis .... Meant to buy one ages ago ... It's the only rubbish thing on my totally standard Gtr ..... Hmmmm ... Wonder if I could follow those pictures and wire it in myself .... What do you think Steve ?  :mfr_lol: :mfr_lol:

Rusty, you know as well as I do what the answer to your question is! Leave it alone otherwise the GTR will never start again with your skills/lack of skills.  :whistling:

Leave it to the dealer to sort out.

Debs

Rusty... Go and have a lay down and clean you mind about doing DIY on your bike...  :mfr_lol: :mfr_lol:

Finally got my hand on the Vance & Hines Exhaust today after the pre bank holiday cockup, so tonight, i fitted it straight on the bike. Tool about 30 mins at a slow pace. Looks nice and sounds great (in the garage)

Will post a video later when its uploaded

I loved the sound of the first exhaust you had on, the second was ok I guess..............alright, it was better but I'm still sticking to the standard can!  :whistling:

KeVstrom

The second one definately sounds better. Its quite addictive, giving the right wrist a quick blip on the throttle.

Order a set of adjustable foot pegs off ebay. cost around 45 quid, quality wise, nicely machine, light weight and good design.

Here they are

First thing to do is to remove the cir clip from the original pin to remove the OE foot peg.

Slide the pin out and remove peg and spring.

I test fitted the new peg and noticed it sat slightly elevated.

To fix that, i took a touch off the stopper at the end of the peg. Heres a comparison, its about 1mm if that, and i also deburred the edges.

Sits much better now

Now i refitted the new peg and OE spring with the Pin and Clip

This gives you an idea of how much lower it is.

Side one, you can see the rear brake lever is too high and need adjusting.

Heres the rear brake adjustment

To adjust the rear brake, the peg hanger has to come off.

In order to remove this protective plate......

You need to undo this 10mm bolt to remove the plate. After that, its just a case of loosening the 12mm retaining nut and widning the 10mm threaded shaft till you get your desired height.

After refitting the peg hanger, you need to adjust the rear brake switch here, by turning it.

Repeat for the other side, then adjust the gear link by undoing the 10mm retaining nuts either end and twisting the rod to the desired height.

The pegs had a clever pin feature which allows a lot of degrees of adjustment.

I chose to apply some superglue to lock the threads, you dont want them coming off!
