Lovely thanks.  so they're called well nuts, can you just confirm the size on our bike  if you know it, I got some out of halfords yesterday called fairing fixings which fitted ok and have done the job, however they are smaller then the original so have to use its own bolt and cant use the original so its an odd bolt head, so would like the same size.

Just out of interest, what are they measuring  the M5 / 5mm on ? its not the external bit of rubber, thats about 10mm, is it the bolt size ? or external size of the inner brass sleeve ?

I don't have my gtr anymore so can't compair size for you  someone eles will be along soon to advise you  but I can't understand your problem  fairing well nuts and screen well nuts for all kawasaki use, insert thread is approx 5cm thread, and the thickness of the rubber well grommet which is approx 10 cm, the lenght of the grommet is approx 15cm long. are you saying that the original bolt won't fit the grommet insert thread you got from halfords, if so best to buy the well nuts on ebay they are the right size for fairings and screens and your original bolt should fit, or go to a bike shop you can buy kawasaki original well nuts separate which are nicely packed in kawasaki original packaging with a part number and cost about £3.00 each  or you can buy the "EXACT" same well nuts from the shop in a pack of 6 for under a £10.00. if your not in a hurry for them, your best bet is the pack of 10 on the buy it now price on ebay for £6.99 and free post  they come with bolts as well and don't see why your original bolt won't fit them.

I'm not sure either, as I don't have a 2008/9 model either. however, that is the bolts in some locations on of the GTR 2010.

However, here is a link to Kawasaki Cradley "microfiche" parts catalogue.

I think the bolt you are looking for is......92154.  however the rubber with metal insert I believe is listed as a separate number - 92015.

you can mail order direct from this website.  expensive, but original oem kit.  :-)

hope this helps, good luck.

ps.  for everybody else - http://www.kawasakioriginalparts.com/kawasaki_motorcycle_parts_catalogue_m10.php?cat=mc  they mail order most if not all parts available for all the kawasaki bike models.
