Well decided to push the boat out and have ordered the cee baileys ultra tour ,more i thought about it the better it seemed to pay up now rather than trying untested or even cheaper options which in the end might have led to what i have done now.

Aye, sometimes thats the best and only way.  :)

i went for the cee baileys ultra tour over any other aftermarket screen, the taller oem on the 2010 gtr just wasnt quite tall enough, i'm 6ft 4 tall now the turbulance goes over the top of my head when the screen is fully up

How much did you pay, they're £229 on eBay  :o
That's a lot of brass for a bit of perspex/acrylic or whatever it's made of!

197 AM think the one on ebay is for a 2010 as they are dearer for some reason, as per sportouring.com pre 2010 166+33 for ultra domed.Luckily for me when i bought the bike it came with so many extras that a screen and topbox is all i have to buy not complaining with the price

Ol screen debate again....Fjr's the same ol thing. I think the GTR standard is not too bad.
Put it this way...There is wind noise on the Gtr , but nothing like the Fjr. I mean how big & tall do you want a screen to be, before it becomes a Bubble car ? Let's not forget were on Motor bikes here. Yer gona a get a bit of a Blast !
I put a taller one on the first Fjr ....great, but it's perspex like all of them , you cant see through them proper for sure.
I did have a Bandit 1200 , naked , no fairing no screen , feck all. Guess what. No Buffeting , no wind noise. Why is that ?

exactly on my cb never had a problem even when i put on the little givi screen, but i have a cracked verterbrae and nerve damage to my right shoulder and need a bit of extra protection helps with comfort. Also thinking of my son the more protection he gets the better.
