Hi everyone

Was out for a bimble around today and my low fuel light started flashing at 170 miles on the trip

I figured I had a good 50 miles in the tank so decided to leave filling it up till i got home, around 30 miles. The thing is that dam warning flashing away at you is sooooo annoying, so my question is can you turn it off or reset it somehow and get the other functions back

My blackbird had a little amber light that did the same job without  the annoyance

Thanks

Only way I know is to put more fuel in it...... :innocent:

Yeah, putting a bit of fuel in is virtually guaranteed to sort it..... :mfr_lol:

annoying  but seriously.. is it worth messing around with the possibility of causing damaged  when you can refuel at approx 150 miles or just pull over at the nearest station and just give the bugger a drink
getting on now...  but not as old as Rog or Geoff

I have to agree to some extent . I always have my fuel stops planned in to my commuting , and I know I have two hundred miles in my tank and this thing starts flashing away when I dont want it.

Id prefer to have my tyres monitored instead.

yep, one could argue that tyre monitoring is more important

The answer to your question sir is yes.

When the fuel low is flashing at you, hold the top button, then press the bottom button once (do it again and it turns it back).  This will return the display back to normal (except range - which will still show low fuel) and will turn on the RED warning light, which can be equally as annoying as its so bloody bright!

But I do use it.

Hope that helps.

Neil

ps.  If I have it the wrong way round - sorry.  but I think holding the top is like saying - top display - bottom button - change.

170 miles from 1 tank? I better slow down a bit

I can do 180 on a tank before it starts flashing.. Thats from home to Dover docks.

SirToU

ok sadly, I can get over 200 before it starts flashing.

:-(  better speed up a bit and stop driving like a grandmother!

Thanks for the replies folks

SirtoYou; i'll try that out

was hoping for a run tomorrow but the roads are freshly gritted so I may give it a miss although I'm tempted to have a jaunt up Hartside

Thanks again , Mike
