Screen cut outs

and the likes, have these screen cut outs, is this to reduce the vacuum effect at speed?

That's right Kev. it reduces it quite a bit which stops you having to push back on the bars all the time, making a more relaxed ride.
Strangely though, it doesn't seem to make you any wetter in the rain.

yes this question  has popped up a few times, ive got the cut outs and a little bit of driving rain does get in but its absolutely ok

I dunno what my screen is, ive got a top deflector on it so it cant be original, i did buy my bike used. Have a look at my pictures and let me know.

Ive been up & down the A69 to/from Corbridge this past week and noticed theres a very fine line between, low wind noise, and heavy pressure on the wrists so it has to be done. Its not the first time ive cut a screen before, so ill manage it no bother.
