If massive world wide companys such as Tesco,  Findus and lots of others are caught up in the the horse meat crisis, and most of us not knowing what the hell they are selling us, does it not make you wonder what we are being served up by the many thousands of take aways, that seem to be dotted on every street corner in all of our towns and citys. I for one will be avoiding them like the plague.

Hey by eck, you can't beat a doner kebab with salad, (not to much mind)  and some spicy chilli sauce after 15 pints of scrumpy down the local ale house.

The big supermarkets are always looking to increase margins by squeezing suppliers. The supply chain is so long that food contamination can occur with relative ease. Add in the cost of doing DNA checks, the suppliers won't be able to deliver at the costs the supermarkets demand. I bet its not only at the value end either. Some of those premium products will also be contaminated.

And then there's the Government who don't know their elbow from their arse.

I have a mate who used to be a big meat eater until he saw the food chain. The feed to chickens to force them to grow was enough. We now try and source as much locally and I have tried to go more veggie this year
