As from today I am a retired person, 49 years of pulling my tripe out are at an end. So as from now if any of you Northern numpties want to go playing out on motorbikes just give me a bell, or send me a message and I'll be up for a wizz out

Congratulations mate, wish you health to enjoy your retirement.

Since my dad retired 15 years ago he hasn't got enough hours in the day to do everything he wants... jealous of you.... I've only another 20 years to go, all being well, providing the Government don't move the goalposts again....

Nice one Geoff .... Enjoy every day as I have no doubt you will !!!!!!!

I am looking to retire in 3 years and 10 months (60) depending on the usual crap.

Yer all  :censored: s!
If I'm lucky I'll get to retire a few days before I finally pop my clogs.
Between pensions, recessions, and my personal mismanagement of money, I probably will never be able to afford to retire.
Enjoy it but if yer in danger of getting bored just remember you can sign your pension over to me whenever you like.
I have so many projects I want to do but just don't have time/money for that boredom would never be an issue.

Funnily enough, mine coincided with the Summer Solstice - longest day, 21 June!
