O.C.

For some months now I have been none too well, in fact since last September I have actually now lost over 22% of my total body weight, the effects of which have been to leave me extremely weak, and even more grumpy than usual, (which is saying summat)  I even partially lost my eye-sight for a while which was very scary.

I currently don't even have the strength to lift my beautiful GTR onto its mainstand, I just can't do it, and consequently I haven't ridden the bike since late September. :ohplease:

So, hopeful that things are now in control, as a full day of tests in hospital yesterday seem to confirm, I will have to literally build myself up again in preparation for next seasons biking.

Luckily I have lighter 1970s Triples here that I could use, but TBH I don't feel that I would be safe enough just yet to ride even them at this stage.

The target is to get up and ready for the end of March 2013, when we might expect a couple of days sunshine  :mfr_lol:

What I want to avoid is the idea of changing my GTR for a smaller and therefore lighter bike, although a Versys 1000 would probably do the job, and is a damn fine bike.

So here goes, as much excecise as I can manage coupled with my healthy eating regime, and a realistically achievable target to get back on what can only be described as one of the very best bikes available in GREEN  :mfr_lol:

Wish me luck

Roger, obviously very serious, but from what you have put above it seems that matters are under control to some degree and I sincerly hope that is the case. Looking forward to seeing you in the New Year, more than likely at The Bridge with the pink armband man.

Thank you all soooooo much for the kind wishes

I'll be back to strength as soon as I can manage, as I don't lack motivation.

Gill and I have just got back from 4 days break in Belgium which was planned ages ago, so it was a well timed and welcome tonic,  we enjoyed every minute, staying in Leper (Ypres) and stopping in Brugge on the way home...it was cold but excellent.
