hi guys, been doing it for a few years now,,,try to get there early if you want to make the most of the atmosphere,,,we get there at least 1 1/2 hrs before the start, have a cuppa, get up on the bank and watch all that comes in,loads in fancy dress,,,all types of bikes from scooters to trikes and quads, some stunning machines,,,,,,and some right sheds as well, lol.the site as you get to the highest part of the bridge going over is absolutly fantastic   ,it will send a chill down ya spine!!!,,, thousands of people turn out from the time you leave the start all over the bridge, every bridge over the roads are packed with people waving etc,,,the motorway part is only about 6mls(aprox),,then from the magor turning to chepstow all the kids are on the side of the roads waiting to be given hi fives off the pillions,
chepstow is buzzing from food stalls, drinks, trade stands, live music in the square
if your able to make it,it is a fab day.
if any of you ever did the afghan heroes run (especially the 1st one),that one was one of the most spectacular sites i have ever experianced, when we turned right on to that runway,,,,omg!!!!,,,,i thought it was a line of bikes,,,,as i turned it was just the first row!!!!!,almost 10,000 bikes!!,the entire runway rammed packed with bikes. we waited there almost 2 hrs an as we were leaving they were still rolling in!!!  absolute magic day!!!!

Crossed bridge in morning and came back in afternoon after a great rideout in Wales. That's what Severn bridge is for
