The first accident .....

Came across this.... the beginning...

"On the 17th of August 1896 the worlds first ever recorded
fatal road traffic collision occurred in London. Bridget Driscoll was run over by a vehicle travelling at its top speed of 4mph.
The Coroner Percy Morrison said he hoped "such a thing would never happen again".



"In Britain in 1899 the first ever car only fatal collision occurred, when the car wheels collapsed whilst cornering at over 25mph, killing the front seat passenger."  ( the photo seems a bit too late to refer to the actual collision... but never mind)

well the coroner got his wish, cos I reckon every fatal accident after that happened at more than 4mph
